1      Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore – IIM-B is one of the most prestigious and sought after colleges for business administration and management courses. It is located in Bangalore, Karnataka. The staying environment and the classroom environment are excellent. Both full time and part time courses are offered in this college. To get selected in this college, a student has to undergo CAT or GMAT or GRE according to the course selected.

2     ICFAI business school, Hyderabad – Also called as IBS, Hyderabad, this is one of the best business management colleges in Andhra Pradesh.  Students have the option of appearing for the IBS selection process separately or the CAT or GMAT scores can also be submitted when applying for a course in this college. The MBA program has a total strength of 1100 students and the campus is well situated to accommodate all the students.

3.      Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode – Kozhikode in Kerala has the only other IIM in South India apart from Bangalore. The selection process is same as other IIMs which require top CAT scores. The placement opportunities are excellent in the college. The college has introduced path breaking satellite based PG courses in management for executives.

4     Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai – LIBA, Chennai is one of the best management colleges across India. It offers full time and part time MBA courses along with MDPs (Management Development Programs). To get selected into this college, you have to appear in the CAT exam conducted by IIMs or in the XAT exam conducted by XLRI, present in Jamshedpur.

5      TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal – This business school is located in the university town of Manipal in Karnataka. It has been consistently ranked in the top business schools in south India.  Valid CAT or GMAT or XAT scores are required for applying to this college. The shortlisted candidates have to go through another round of interviews and discussions before getting selected for a business management course.

6      Institute for Financial Management and Research, Chennai – With the lack of an IIM in Chennai, IFMR is a good choice in the area. It was established 44 years ago and has performed consistently over the years. A new glitzy campus is being readied for students in Chennai and it has a good track record of placements.

7      Indian School of Business, Hyderabad – ISB is a private business school in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The post graduate program in Management is a one year residential program. You have to apply separately for ISB along with two recommendations from reputed professionals.

8      School of communication & Management Studies, Cochin – SCMS Cochin is one of the few business schools that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for business schools and programs in US. The two year full time PGDM course attracts quite a few companies for placement.

9      Department of Management studies, IISC, Bangalore – The Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore has an exclusive department of management studies which offers business management courses. The department has been in existence since 1947. The management course is well-known for the quality of academics and the placement rates. Students with valid CAT, GATE or GMAT scores can apply for the courses online.

1  School of Management, Puducherry – This business school comes under the purview of Pondicherry University. The campus is huge and located just off the east coast road by the side of the Bay of Bengal. It is known across South India for the quality of education and the faculties.
